Troubleshoot statistical journal entries
When you post a transaction, all the required information must be entered. Following are some additional issues that you can encounter, and how to resolve them.
Transaction cannot be saved because the books are closed for the period
You have two options when you need to add an entry for a closed period. You can either reopen the books for the period, or add a statistical adjusting entry.
The Edit link is not available for a journal entry
Check to see if they journal entry has been approved and posted. If so, reverse or delete the entry, and then resubmit it.
